The Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) sent a survey to various agencies on Pregnancy Assistance Information and Ultrasound Providers. If an agency in the “Pregnancy Assistance Information Providers” listing above only checked “other” as to the services it provides, this indicates the agency can refer individuals to the needed service(s).
DHSS is updating the information/resources necessary to comply with Section 188.027, RSMo. This section requires the DHSS to provide geographically indexed information on public and private agencies available to assist a pregnant woman in carrying her unborn child to term, and to assist her in caring for her dependent child or placing her child for adoption. This section also requires DHSS to provide geographically indexed information regarding ultrasound providers.
