To ensure the University can be confident it is equipped to support staff and meet duty of care responsibilities, all staff travel must be compliant with the Travel Policy.
Every staff member who undertakes travel on University business – including research related travel, or anyone who supervises staff who travel on University business – must read and understand the current Staff Travel Policy and follow the required processes to book travel through the UniTravel portal.
The University’s Staff Travel Policy Staff Hub page outlines the policy and links to a TrainMe module that all staff should complete before booking or approving staff travel. If travel bookings are non-compliant with the policy, the travel may be cancelled, even where flights and accommodation have already been paid for and booked.
Staff are also reminded that the use of the ‘Log my Trip’ function in the UniTravel portal may only be used in limited circumstances.
